1992
Advanced Wireless Communications was founded by father and son, Ben and Ken Coons in Northfield, MN.
1995
Opened the first of our retail cellular stores. We were the first to bring a cellular store into a Minnesota Mall.
2003
AWC broke ground for the new headquarters in Lakeville, MN on 6/23/03 and fully moved in on 12/19/03.
2013
Ben Coon retires and Ken takes over the company as President of AWC.

To better meet the needs of our customers, we said goodbye to the cellular portion of our company and decided to focused on two-way radios and systems.
2021
New year, new look, same great company. AWC launched its new logo and branding January of 2021.
