Instant Assistant® HotKeys


The Instant Assistant HotKeys is a software application that puts up to ten programmable alert buttons on your computer screen or point-of-sale system allowing you to discreetly activate an alert message. This application is being used in various settings including: retail, colleges & universities, office buildings, long term care facilities, etc.

Pairing the HotKeys software up with the Instant Assistant, a Mass Alerting Service and/or the Desktop Alerting System will give you many options for getting your alerts to your team, students or staff. Below is a list of output devices that may be used:

The Instant Assistant

Output Devices:

  • Two-way Radios (Walkie-Talkies, Portables, Mobiles)
  • Pagers
  • Overhead P.A. Systems
  • Local Telephone or PBX
  • L.E.D. Display Board
  • Wireless Dome Lights (Care Facilities, etc)
  • Broadcaster & Broadcaster Max Wireless PA Systems
  • Computer Terminal Pop-Up Notifications

How HotKeys Work

  • The user presses a pre-designated key combination on the computer or point-of-sale system to activate a "HotKey"
  • The user can also press a function key to pop up window with up to 10 pre-defined messages (as defined by the customer)
  • From the menu, the user may selects one of the messages
  • From either method, the specific audio message is immediately transmitted to designated radios throughout the facility. The system can also send messages to pagers, phones, computer screens or other devices
  • After receiving the requested assistance, the system can be programmed to either automatically reset or require the operator to reset the request with another "HotKey"
  • All requests and resets are “time stamped”. Response time reports can be generated for management review

  • Windows® XP SP2 or Later or Vista, Win7 (32bit or 64bit)
  • Server module requires Windows Server 2000 or later 32Bit Only
  • Microsoft .Net Version 2.0 or later
  • CD/DVD ROM Drive for Installation
  • Keyboard, mouse or touch screen for managing key selection
  • Network connection to local area LAN via Ethernet or Wi-Fi
  • Server must be on same network as the Instant Assistant
